How To Make Money With A Blog

Do you need a couple hundred dollars extra a money OR do you strive to replace your current Just Over Broke (JOB?)  Yeah, I thought so!  Give yourself some time to get this started.  If you are unemployed and looking, now is the perfect time for you to start learning how to set up your blog.  Depending on how computer literate you are and organized (do you know WHAT you want to discuss or write about?) it could take you a few days, weeks or even a couple of months to get it all together.  This all depends on
Y-O-U and how much time you are willing to devote and have to get this on the ground and running.  And then there is the time that you need to market it.  But, first things are first so let's get started ......

  1. Set Up A FREE Blog.  I suggest this site you are currently on with my blog:  http://www.blogger.com/.  Go through the easy steps -- it is pretty self-explanatory.
  2. Name Your Blog.  You will come to the tab where you will have to enter a name and check to see if that name is available.  What is your passion?  What do you want to talk about or promote?  This will be where the name comes in to reflect that.  You may have to keep trying until you find one that isn't taken but make sure it is one you like and goes with the flow of your blog.
  3. Dashboard.  You will become more familiar with the dashboard as you will be working from this area where you will add Posts, Pages and Ads/Affiliates to draw people in. Go through each of the tabs up on top (Posting, Comments, Setting, Design, Monetize & Stats).  Familiarize yourself with the different elements and ways to add pictures, links, feeds, etc.  The more time you spend on this segment, the more you will understand how it works to the best of your benefit in adding posts and ads to make you money.
You are now ready to start "blogging."  I strongly recommend doing this first before you start adding affiliates to your blog.  Many of the affiliates will check out your blog and approve you before you can add their links.  They want to ensure that what you are talking about or product lines you are offering are in line with their legal requirements.  Needless to say, they do not accept any form of hatred, bigotry, adult material, etc.  You can read their requirements when you fill out the application.
